When you have a chocolate fountain, the variety of dipping items that you display with the fountain matters. The chocolate fountain itself is mesmerizing but having really good, bite sized foods to dip with a choice of salty and sweet items, makes the chocolate fountain experience even more memorable.
When we had a large, professional chocolate fountain at our wedding, the dipping items were cubed sponge cake, strawberries, rice krispy treats, marshmallows, and cream puffs. We were charge by how many dipping items there were. But when you DIY chocolate fountain, it’s more economical and you can add more items.
FYI: Make sure to cut items into small cubes so that the item is more likely to stay on the skewer when dipping into the fountain. If a food item is too large or heavy, it can tear and fall off the skewer.
